Yogi Roth calls himself an adventure-preneur. He’s also a TV host, college football analyst, New York Times best-selling author, motivational speaker, actor, expert traveler and Emmy-nominated filmmaker.

He’s worked with ESPN, FOX Sports and NFL Films, and he’s coached college football. He’s also written several books, including on with Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

Yogi is the creative force behind a new documentary called Life in a Walk, which encourages viewers to spend time with those you love while you still can.

He talks to Growing Bolder about seeking the next thing to pursue in life after his lifelong athletic career ended and how he quickly came to realize that he wasn’t focusing on his relationships the way he should be, particularly with his parents. He shares the story of how his father’s prostate cancer diagnosis made him pause and reconnect with his dad so that he never would say, “I wish I’d spent more time with him.”
