Marion Ross played the matriarch of the Cunningham family on the beloved TV show Happy Days. The show made her a superstar forever, yet it didn’t protect her from second guessing her career, her marriage and her purpose. She reveals all in her new memoir, My Days: Happy and Otherwise.

Now 89, she looks back on the role that made her an icon — a role she landed at the age of 50! — and talks to Growing Bolder about finding her “what’s next” after Happy Days ended its 11-year run in 1984.

She also reveals some of the struggles she’s overcome in her life, including her divorce at age 40, which left the newly single mom of two depressed and destitute. Plus, find out what keeps her so engaged in life as she approaches 90.
