One problem with being 79 years old is it gets very difficult to do something unusual to celebrate your birthday. Dick McClow did not have that problem.

He’d just gotten a new boat, and he figured it was the perfect day to set sail from the coast of Florida for the Bahamas. But he never made it.

Storms tossed his boat all over the ocean. The next thing he knew, McClow was marooned on a deserted island. He ran out of food, water, and he was nearly out of hope.

But this story has a happy ending, and McClow was anxious to come on our radio show and tell us. The only thing we’re worried about now is what he has planned to celebrate his 80th birthday!
