A new movement is under way amongst nurses, even though they are some of the hardest working professionals in the workforce.

More than 15,000 registered nurses across the country have joined the Faith Community Nursing movement because they saw their patients had much greater needs than their illnesses or conditions.

Betsy McKeeby of Florida Hospital, who has been in the nursing field for more than 30 years, explains how Faith Community Nursing benefits not only patients but their families and caregivers as well. She says FCN combines elements of faith with the knowledge nurses have about physical health so the person can reach their wholeness.

Find out what makes a good faith community nurse and what skills a nurses needs to pursue this specialty.
