Over the past 50 years, he has become a musical icon. Charlie Daniels is a legend who has created hits on the rock, country, pop and Christian charts. He’s won virtually every music industry award and accolade there is in multiple genres.

His signature hit, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” is among the most celebrated songs in the history of American music, but he is so much more than that.

His latest project is the perfect example of his endless creativity and fearless talent. It’s his first new album project since 2007 and it’s called “Off the Grid: Doin’ It Dylan.”

The 77-year-old working musician calls in from road, checking in from his tour bus in Canada, to talk about his past, present and future in the industry.

Charlie also explains how Bob Dylan helped give his career a much-needed boost in 1969 when Charlie was still an unknown studio musician in Nashville. Plus, find out why he chose to do this new album, his first all-acoustic album.
