Daniel Klein is an eclectic guy.

He studied philosophy at Harvard, then went on to write jokes for Flip Wilson and Lily Tomlin.

He’s also the author of several critically acclaimed bestselling books, including “Plato and a Platypus Walk Into A Bar.”

In his new book, “Travels with Epicurus: A Journey to a Greek Island in Search of a Fulfilled Life,” the 73-year-old celebrates his age and looks to the Greek God, Epicurus, who found comfort in being an old man and highlighted all of its benefits.

Daniel explains how a routine trip to the dentist changed his views on aging and made him embrace his age. He says everyone his age has been panicking about aging and trying to stay young, and instead, he’s ready to enjoy his 70s and to age authentically.

He laments the days when people his age were honored and spent their days playing games. Daniel explains why Plato found playing to be the highest form of experience and why he’d rather spend his days playing than striving to leave his mark.

Plus, find out what he sees as the distinction between old age and old-old age.
