5 Questions, p. 14-15

— Check out these two bonus Q&As with Bhava Ram:

You changed your name from Brad Willis to Bhava Ram. Is Brad Willis still there somewhere? Do your old TV friends still know who you are?

I’m still the same person but I think a lot of the rough edges are gone. I’ve learned not to identify myself through my ego. Despite having been a type A foreign correspondent, I’ve learned to cultivate on a daily basis humility and service to others. I’ve now worked with thousands of people and I wrote this book to help and teach others. I believe we all have this power inside of us to turn all of our obstacles into opportunities, to heal to our maximum capacity, to ultimately manifest our fullest potential and in our own humble ways, to serve the world. That’s what I feel devoted to now. One of the reasons my name is changed is I feel there’s no looking back. I’ve completely embraced this wisdom of yoga and devoted my life to helping others empower themselves, heal and enter a state of vibrancy and harmony.

Is it true there’s been some interest in Hollywood of turning your book into a feature film?

Yes, and I think it’s very exciting mostly because it helps spread the message to a wider audience. Oftentimes, when we are in this practices such as yoga and Ayurveda, we are preaching to the choir. I think it’s important to reach out to a broader audience to let everyone know there is a real science here that can help them find what they’re after. We all need to reduce the stress in our lives, think better, eat better and feel more inner peace, and this is really a pathway to that. It’s very practical and pragmatic. I’ve heard from people around the world who have said the book inspired them to make changes in their lives, and if the movie takes that message even further, I’ll feel blessed.
