Jay Blake is lucky to be alive. In 1997, a forklift tire exploded, shattering his face and destroying his eyesight.

Before the accident, he had always dreamed of owning a professional racing team. That near-death experience may have robbed Jay of his eyesight, but it didn’t steal his dreams.

He knew no one would hire him, so he started his own racing team.  Today, he even serves as crew chief and president of the NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car race team.
