In an industry where the average lifespan of a series is two to five years, actress Jeanne Cooper has had the remarkable privilege of playing the same character for 40 years.

As Katherine Chancellor on “The Young and the Restless,” Jeanne has inspired fans across the world tune in to watch what antics the fabulously wealthy “dame of Genoa City” is up to next.

For her role, Jeanne won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Daytime Emmy Awards and is a double-digit nominee. She has a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame and is the mother of actor Corbin Bernsen.

She has just released her autobiography “Not Young, Still Restless,” and at 84 years old, she’s just as fired up about life and her passion — boosting women’s self-esteem — as always.

She explains why she really wanted to make an impact on women’s lives and teach them that they’re not second-class citizens.

That included her controversial decision to not only go public with her facelift at the age of 55 but to also incorporate the procedure itself into “The Young and the Restless.”

Find out why she decided to become the face of plastic surgery and what she hoped it taught women.
