He’s the kind of sports hero you just don’t find very often these days. Every time Jeff Farrell gets into the pool, he rewrites the rules of aging by rewriting records.

He was a dominating swimmer who was looking forward to making his mark on the world in the 1960 Olympics in Rome. But six days before the Olympic Qualifying Time Trials he came down with appendicitis and underwent an emergency appendectomy. Everyone thought his Olympic dream had been shattered, but they were about to learn something about Jeff’s character.

Find out what still drives him to compete at a world-class level.

Click here to read Growing Bolder CEO Marc Middleton’s blog about watching Jeff compete at those Olympic time trials and how it had a huge impact on his life.
