As music lovers celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love, author and renowned music critic Joel Selvin is remembering that revolutionary summer.

He’s the author of “Summer of Love,” and for the past three decades, he has covered the Bay Area music scene for the San Francisco Chronicle.
