A lot of us say we want to change our lives, but few of us do it. John Suscovich has changed his life about as dramatically as one can.

He was a regular on the biggest radio show in the country, the Howard Stern Radio Show, living in New York City and making all of the contacts and connections for what could have been a great career. But one day, he gave it all up.

He and his wife hopped on bicycles and rode from New York to Seattle, then from Seattle to San Diego, all because of their fascination with farming.

Since leaving New York City, they’ve had 5,500 miles of adventures visiting family farms and craft breweries across America.

Rather than cool their interest in farming, the trip inspired them even more. Now, they’re in the process of setting up their own farm New Milford, Connecticut, and Kate is expecting the couple’s first child.

John explains the two ways he’s getting started with his farm and the one thing that motivates him the most to keep him moving toward this new way of life.
