In 1956, Johnny Mathis hit No. 1 on the charts for the very first time with “Chances Are,” and the world fell in love with one of most iconic voices of our lifetime. Johnny was just getting started. In the decades that followed, he would have 73 albums hit the Billboard charts, and only Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra have sold more records.

Now in his mid-70s, Johnny’s voice is just as fresh, just as warm and just as compelling today.

He’s still singing, still touring and still enjoying life. Johnny says these past several years he’s emulated his parents at his age — they both enjoyed successful careers as professional cooks, raised seven children and just lived life well. He says he’s just trying to live up to the standards they set.
