Most people over the age of 40 are familiar with the aches and pains that come with the territory. Leonard Smith, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, has come up with a way to deal with what many call “boomeritis.”

First he brought us Beano and Lactaid, and now, Smith is tackling the issues of sore joints and arthritis. To alleviate the pain that many have given up on trying to soothe, Smith has created the Shea Nut supplement. 

Smith says that joint pain is common and not many people understand who is most at risk for arthritis. The statistics, however, are scary. According to The Arthritis Foundation, 50 percent of people with joint pain problems have given up hope for relief. 

With his new supplement, Smith is trying to revive that hope in millions of people. 

He talks with Growing Bolder about how he got the idea and how his product is different from others already out there.
