From the moment she was born, Lola Gillebaard has been overcoming obstacles and fighting every step of the way.

She was born premature with a brain hemorrhage and weighed just a pound-and-a-half. Doctors told her parents that she probably wouldn’t make it.

But she did. And since then, she’s survived 17 surgeries and cancer, and somehow continues to find the humor in every situation in life.

She’s now 81 years old and was just crowned the funniest woman in California. She’s also one of the funniest and most inspirational motivational speakers ever.

Lola says she discovered early in life that you can always fit in and surround yourself with friends if you’re interesting, no matter what hardships or issues you’ve endured. She’s made it her mission in life to find the funny in whatever obstacles life throws in front of her.
