Many dream of seeing their faces on the silver screen. Mae Laborde just didn’t realize that her face would be so wrinkled when it finally made it there.

The 96-year-old broke into show business just four years ago. 

Now, the California woman who still lives in the same Santa Monica house she moved into as a newlywed more than 70 years ago, is becoming TV’s go-to grandma. sharing the screen with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. 

She talked to Growing Bolder about her appearances in commercials (for ESPN, Lexus and JP Morgan Chase Bank), TV shows (HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” and MADtv) and a feature film with actor Ben Stiller.
