One moment changed a young girl’s life and ultimately the lives of many others.

One day, 8-year-old Vivienne Harr picked up a book on slavery and was immediately mesmerized by a photo of two young boys in Nepal, forced to carry heavy slabs of granite on their backs every day. She wondered how one second-grader could make a difference.

She talked her parents into setting up a lemonade stand, vowing to open it every day, rain or shine, until she raised $150,000 — the amount needed to free 500 slaves.

Vivienne reached that goal in less than seven months, but that didn’t stop her from keeping the stand open.

Find out how long the now 9-year-old has kept it going and what big plans she has in place to make an even greater impact.

See how this girl is proving it only takes one person to make a huge difference and get inspired to change the world around you.

Click here to visit makeastand.com and learn more about Vivienne’s project.
