Throughout most of his 70 years, singing and dancing has taken Movin’ Melvin Brown on an incredible journey. He’s appeared in movies, sung with gospel choirs and doo-wop bands and written musicals for the stage that celebrate black musical history.

Now he’s found his greatest passion yet — inspiring others, especially those who think their dancing days are over, to dance their way to health!

He shares his experiences with learning how to tap dance in his mid-40s, which was inspired by his desire to find a job that would allow him to travel and make enough money to open a homeless shelter. Wait until you hear the wild story of him learning to tap dance in just five months, all because he’d told a festival booker that he knew how to tap dance!
