What are you most afraid of? In recent studies, Baby Boomer report that one thing scares them more than heart attacks or even cancer — Alzheimer’s disease.

Sadly, there are plenty of good reasons to fear the memory-robbing disease.

More than 50 percent of all people 80 and older develop Alzheimer’s or some other form of dementia. It’s now the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. and the only cause of death among the top 10 than can not be prevented, cured or slowed once it starts.

After watching both of her parents suffer from the disease before their deaths, Molly Middleton Meyer made it her mission to improve the quality of life for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. She’s doing that by pioneering a new way to not only engage but to creatively stimulate this large and unfortunately growing group.

She now travels nationally speaking, conducting facilitations, workshops, seminars, training programs and more. She is the creator of Mind’s Eye Poetry.

Molly explains what we all need to know about the coming so-called Alzheimer’s Tsunami and shares what she’s learned about the disease by traveling to memory care centers across the country.

Find out the changes she’s seen in patients since launching this creative program and how the natural rhythm and music of poetry brings about almost magical moments with Alzheimer’s patients.

If you’re suffering watching your parents live with Alzheimer’s or dementia, find out what Molly has learned about communicating with them that she wishes she’d known when her parents were still alive.
