Peter Frampton was a teen sensation in The Herd, a hard rock hero in Humble Pie and an international sensation with the 1976 release of the live album “Frampton Comes Alive.”

But Frampton says he was never after fame and fortune. For him, it’s always been about the guitar. He says he picks it up first thing in the morning and doesn’t put it down until late at night.

He tells Growing Bolder that “Frampton Comes Alive,” which is the fourth-best-selling live album in history, made it possible for him to still be exploring and creating with his instrument today.

He’s extremely proud of his latest album, an instrumental called “Fingerprints.” The album, which he dedicated to his late father, even won him his first Grammy.

Frampton says he has a lot of passion and desire left to express and hopes to be one of those guys who plays until the day he dies. If you want the chance to see Frampton come alive in person, click here for a list of upcoming shows.
