Paris Hilton has nothing on the original party girl, Sally Pierone. She even had her own sidekick — President Teddy Roosevelt’s granddaughter, Theodora. After her life fell apart, she put it back together when she was 73 years old.

Sally Pierone lived the party life in Europe in the ’50s, then she lost it all when she came back to America. 20 years later, she put her life back together and now, at age 87, she’s helping other women find the meaning of their lives.

Pierone was the Paris Hilton of the ’50s. But after her life fell apart, she spent years in psychotherapy. These days, her rollercoaster life is the subject of her new book, “Sally – The Older Woman’s Illustrated Guide to Self-Improvement.”

Although she writes about how to find happiness and fulfillment in life, it took Pierone 80 years to find her own. She says she found it through art, a talent she’s always had.

Pierone talks with Growing Bolder about how she’s become a therapist herself to help others and what the secret to happiness is — in her eyes.
