Sam Moore just may be the greatest soul singer in the world today.

His 1967 song “Soul Man” is still beloved today, with Rolling Stone calling it one of the 500 greatest songs of all time. In his group Sam and Dave, Moore was part of one of the most successful and critically acclaimed duos in history. He’s won nearly every music award possible, including several Grammy Awards, and has been inducted into several Hall of Fames.

Rolling Stone says he’s one of the top 100 singers of the entire rock era, and now at the age of 80, his voice is still as compelling as ever.
