Are you in a job that you’re passionate about? Do you spring out of bed every morning because you can’t wait to get to work?

Unfortunately for most people, the answer to both of those questions is no. Sean Aiken didn’t want that to be his fate in life.

Inspired by a conversation with his father just before his college graduation, Sean decided he didn’t want to be one of those people who spent 20, 30 or 40 years in a career that he didn’t love.

So he launched the One Job a Week Project to try and test-drive as many careers as possible. On his website, he told potential employers that he would travel anywhere in the country or world to try out their jobs for one week. And the world responded!

During his year, Sean tried everything from stock trading to dairy farming to being an exterminator.  He said his project struck a chord with people of all ages because it’s something we can all relate to: at some point in our lives we all ask ourselves, “What do I want to do with my life?”
