Working for a magazine dedicated to empowering women is in and of itself empowering. Suzan Colon, the senior editor and head honcho of O magazine, uses her job to affect change in millions of women around the world.

The magazine, first published in 2000, takes Oprah Winfrey’s philosophy and turns it into a print product. Every month, the magazine has articles about cooking, living and relationships — all geared toward women.

Colon talks with Growing Bolder about what’s coming up in future issues of the magazine and what Oprah is really like.
