Filling Their Days With Fun, Friends and Exercise

According to the Center for Disease Control, 80% of people in this country do not engage in the total recommended amount of exercise needed to stay healthy. One of the most common reasons given is that many just do not want to go to a gym. But exercise does not have to be work. Here’s a lesson from a group of women between the ages of 75 and 96 who have found a way of disguising their exercise as fun.

Growing Bolder is proud to present this story as part of our partnership with the Winter Park Health Foundation and its forthcoming Center for Health & Wellbeing. Together, we’re building the Wellbeing Network, an online, go-to resource for education, motivation, and real-life stories featuring the seven dimensions of wellbeing: those integral parts of our mind, body, and spirit that form the very essence of our wellbeing, and need life-long nurturing. The Wellbeing Network is a way for the community at large to access resources, education and information offered at the Center for Health & Wellbeing.
