New research indicates belly fat, even in normal weight people, may be more dangerous than fat in the hips and thighs and it affects heart health.

Growing Bolder nutrition expert and registered dietitian Dr. Susan Mitchell says heart disease, not breast cancer, is the No. 1 killer of American women and sadly, women often receive less medical interventions than men to prevent and treat heart disease.
