Every day, we’re all bombarded with media images of strong, muscled and impossibly thin bodies.

Those images can fuel an unhealthy body image obsession. And more and more, it’s not just women who are affected. Men feeling that pressure more than ever and it’s trickled down to boys.

Growing Bolder nutrition expert and registered dietitian Dr. Susan Mitchell says some boys as young as 14 years old are experimenting with supplements and even steroids to increase the size of their muscles.

Dr. Mitchell explains how feeling inferior as a teen can set up unrealistic obsessions for the rest of their lives.

She explains the fine line between healthy body image and obsession and offers tips for helping to re-establish a healthy body image.
