If bacteria causes so many diseases — why are we hearing so much about probiotics being a part of a healthy diet?

Growing Bolder’s registered dietitian and nutrition expert Dr. Susan Mitchell is clearing up the label confusion, especially when it comes to yogurt. The label is the key: most yogurt is low in fat and contains good vitamins and minerals. But if you look closer, you can inspect the ingredient list, and there are a few tips to being a smart shopper (and eater).

Certain probiotics are better for people with digestive issues, but they’re not all the same, so you have to educate yourself before you get to the store. Dr. Mitchell makes it easy!
